gotta tell ya’…
i was very upset over this whole inauguration.
1. my wife works for the government, and she mentioned that everyone was on high alert because of a possible terrorist attack.
2. and at least 2-3 people in my life don’t like Obama and kept ragging on me about that. of course, i voted for him so they were really spoiling it for me.
3. i ended up not watching because of fear and negativity.
considering there used to be regular lynchings of black folks throughout the south some decades ago, plus blacks used to be slaves, and they suffered (as well as other minorities) much discrimination and prejudice…
…i think yesterday was a milestone in this country’s history. and now that i got that off of my chest. *sigh*
Yeah – I was at work, and we were allowed to listen to it, but a few of us snuck livestreaming it online. It was a bit nerve-wracking and over the top, but a definite accomplishment from the way our country was run in the past.
